4tified @ Christiansburg Church of the Nazarene

April 26th, 2009

We had a great trip to Christiansburg, VA this weekend.  Pastor Bailey was a superb host and we had a very warm reception from the congregration there.  Several of us had some very interesting conversations with the folks after the service and some even promised to come back to hear us in Winchester on June 6th.

Four of us got to fly down and back in Steve’s Piper, which made the long trip a breeze - thanks Steve!  We all stayed at a Holiday Inn Express in Dublin and some of us slept great (though I heard there were some snoring choruses in other rooms - too bad  guys)  :-)

All in all it was a very nice trip - though quite lengthy for the drivers.  Now, we are focused on finalizing the CD cover/insert, and getting it to duplication.  We are also putting together the program for the CD Release Concert at the end of May.  Hope everyone can come see us at the concert - get your tickets before they run out!

4tified@ Mt Zion Baptist in St Louis, VA

March 31st, 2009

We were honored to be invited to a gospel concert at Mt Zion Baptist Church this past weekend.  So often, we are invited to an event to minister to a group, and then we end up being the ones who are ministered to.  God has his way in all that we do.

From the worship leader’s testimony to the other gospel band (Barbour Travelers) the evening was a real blessing to everyone.  We also stuck around for a light dinner afterward and enjoyed fellowshipping with the members of the St. Louis community.

A good time was had by all.

4tified is now on Facebook!

4tified now has a page on Facebook!  In advance of the release of the new CD, we are reaching out through various medium to get the word out.  Check out the page here and become a Facebook “fan” to get the latest updates.

CD Project 2009 - Recording Session #3 (Final!)

February 21st, 2009

We finished our 3rd and final recording session this week!  Woohoo!  This has been a long time coming and everyone really had to put in some long hours to get to this point.  We had many extra practices over the last month to get ready for this last session.

Monday and Tuesday were band recording days and the band was in studio until 11:30pm on Tuesday.  The voices had their turn on Wednesday and we started at 9am and finished up around 9:30pm.  That was a very long day of singing and our voices were put to the test.

For this last session, we recorded 5 songs!  They are: He Reminds Me To Forget, Unexpected Cross, O Love That Will Not Let Me Go (a capella), The Bush Is Still Burning, and Looks Like Love.

Now comes the work of making this CD a final product: final editing, choosing song order, graphics, mastering, duplication, etc…  We plan to have the CD ready at the latest in May.  Stay tuned for more updates!

4tified @ Christian Business Men’s Conference

February 1st, 2009

On January 30th and 31st, 4tified led Praise & Worship and delivered a concert to the Christian Business Men’s Conference in Lansdown, VA.  Friday morning saw the band and some of the voices lead the opening Praise & Worship and then Saturday morning everyone was their to kick off the day with a full 4tified concert.

We were very happy to be back with the CBMC guys again this year and they are always great to work with.

4tified @ Prison Fellowship’s Wilberforce Award Ceremony

January 18th, 2009

We were honored to be asked to sing the closing bendiction song (I Then Shall Live) at the William Wilberforce Award Ceremony on January 17th.  The Wilberforce Project is a Prison Fellowship Ministry and you can read more about it hereChuck Colsen spoke and I (Kevin) got to meet him personally (ask me sometime where I met him - it is a funny story).  ;-)

The evening was a great tribute to the 2009 award winner Bishop John Rucyahana of Rawanda.  Bishop John, as he is called, is leading a reconciliation movement in Rawanda to overcome the horrible genocide that occurred between the Hutus and Tutsis in 1994.  Only the love of our Savior Jesus Christ could bring these two ethnic groups together.

The evening went very well and we even got to attend a chocolate fountain reception afterward.  Yum…..

CD Project 2009 - Recording Session #2

December 23rd, 2008

Well we made it through our second CD recording session the week of December 5th.  The first recording session we recorded Man On A Mission (for Radio not the CD), Through, and My Lord & I.  This time we picked off: When He Talked About His Home, Something To Shout About, Satisfied, and Beulah Land. The Band recorded on Monday and Tuesday, and the vocals recorded on Friday.  Everything went smoother this time, as we had figured out some glitches with the instruments from session #1 and everyone was much more relaxed and knew what to expect.  You can see some pictures from the recording session here

Our 3rd and final recording session will be in February and we plan to have the CD ready by late spring!

Merry Christmas everyone!

4tified @ Purcellville Baptist Church

November 22nd, 2008

It is always nice to sing in our home church and receive the welcome of friends.  This event was even more special as we had guest speakers as part of our Marriage Conference.  Bill and Pam Farrel shared with us some of their wisdom on marriage, including points from their best selling book “Men Are Like Waffles - Woman Are Like Spaghetti“.

This event was our last of the season and we are now 100% focused on the CD.  We’ll be in the studio December 1-5, please keep us in your prayers.
