4tified @ Prison Fellowship’s Wilberforce Award Ceremony

Sunday, January 18th, 2009

We were honored to be asked to sing the closing bendiction song (I Then Shall Live) at the William Wilberforce Award Ceremony on January 17th.  The Wilberforce Project is a Prison Fellowship Ministry and you can read more about it hereChuck Colsen spoke and I (Kevin) got to meet him personally (ask me sometime where I met him - it is a funny story).  ;-)

The evening was a great tribute to the 2009 award winner Bishop John Rucyahana of Rawanda.  Bishop John, as he is called, is leading a reconciliation movement in Rawanda to overcome the horrible genocide that occurred between the Hutus and Tutsis in 1994.  Only the love of our Savior Jesus Christ could bring these two ethnic groups together.

The evening went very well and we even got to attend a chocolate fountain reception afterward.  Yum…..

4tified @ Purcellville Baptist Church

Saturday, November 22nd, 2008

It is always nice to sing in our home church and receive the welcome of friends.  This event was even more special as we had guest speakers as part of our Marriage Conference.  Bill and Pam Farrel shared with us some of their wisdom on marriage, including points from their best selling book “Men Are Like Waffles - Woman Are Like Spaghetti“.

This event was our last of the season and we are now 100% focused on the CD.  We’ll be in the studio December 1-5, please keep us in your prayers.

4tified @ the UM Men’s Retreat in Blackstone, VA

Sunday, November 9th, 2008

Wow, what a great event at Blackstone yesterday. We had a warm reception from about 350 men for Christ, and it was very uplifting for all of us in 4tified. The energy we received back from the men was palpable and we talked about it most of the way home in the RV.

It was clear to us that these men of God were growing in and acting out their faith on this men’s weekend trip.  Everyone was extremely helpful in arranging this event and helping to get us set up once we arrived.  Special thanks go out to Edgar, Cyndi, Jeff, Justin, Chris, and especially Bruce who provided for this opportunity.  We all hope your weekend helped to reinvigorate everyone to go back to their churches and be the leaders that God calls us to me. Let’s all be those “Men On a Mission“.

Maybe we will see some of you again next year at 4tified events in your communities.
